What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit to E.P. True Dental is all about building a strong relationship, and our team will do a thorough evaluation to understand your oral health. We take the time to get to know you, your health history, and your goals so we can provide the best possible care.
- Initial Evaluation. Your initial evaluation at your first appointment will include a thorough evaluation of your smile and oral health status.
- Full-Mouth Digital X-Rays. These radiographic images use reduced radiation and provide clear, instant images. They offer a comprehensive view of your teeth and jaw so we can assess your current oral health. These X-rays will also establish a baseline for your future care.
- Panoramic Imaging. This involves a wide-field X-ray that gives a high-quality view of your entire mouth. This technology requires only a small stick-like sensor to be held between your teeth, making the process both quick and comfortable.
- 3D Wellness Scans. Using PrimeScan 2 and iTero scanners, we capture advanced 3D images of your teeth and gums. These scans help track changes over time, such as wear, movement, and any problems with your emerging teeth. Along with all the other scans, 3D wellness scanning helps our team to proactively monitor your oral health.
- Periodontal Readings. At your first appointment, we will complete a detailed assessment of your gum and bone health to identify any signs of periodontal disease.
- Intraoral Camera Imaging. Our team uses an intraoral camera to show you exactly what we see during your evaluation. This is useful so that patients can better understand their current oral health.
How long is your first appointment?
Plan to spend about 60 to 90 minutes with us during your first visit. This ensures we have plenty of time to complete your evaluation, answer your questions, and create a plan tailored to your needs.
Whether you’re visiting our practice for a routine evaluation and dental cleaning or a first appointment for your infant, we're here to provide exceptional care with a personal touch.

- Your overall health and oral health goals
- Personalized recommendations to help you achieve those goals
- A comprehensive list of recommended treatments, if needed.
